HOORAY! Not only am I done with my two exams in the last 24 hours, but it's Halloweeny! I decided to post while I'm waiting for my hot rollers to heat up...gotta have curly and bouncy hair as the Tooth Fairy. So...I'm definitely excited to eat a lot of candy and drink a lot of "cider" tonight, if you catch my drift ;) I loooooove Halloween.

The only problem is that I'm running on less than 4 hours of sleep. I definitely went to bed at 6:00am this morning and woke up at 10 for my exam. Carrie and I stayed at the library until we got kicked out at 5:00am studying for Shakespeare, during which much of the time was spent trying to imitate Ralph Williams' accent and getting very, very loopy at the end there. I believe Carrie at one point actually sang "The Monster Mash" to me in honor of Halloween. Wow.

Well, I'm looking forward to a relatively relaxing weekend. Tonight we're going out and tomorrow I'll not only watch the UM-MSU game (go BLUE!), but I'm also going out to the women's field hockey game to support my good pal Adrienne. Sunday is the U of Detroit Mercy Dental School's open house, so I'm hoping to rub elbows there with some big wigs, eh? Well...I think my rollers are hot. Have a *spoooooooky* (and safe!) Halloweeny!

Well...the countdown has begun. T minus 6 hours and counting until my physics exam. I'm already starting to get "nervous test-stomach," and you can just imagine the joys of that. I'm really hoping that I do well because I seriously need physics to boost my science GPA for dental school. I guess I should say "I'm confident I'll do well" because Josh says that by going into a test confident you can even fool yourself if you're feeling insecure...I agree. I've noticed that when I don't go into it self-defeated, I do better (that sounds so obvious when I write it). However, Josh proposed taking a pencil without an eraser (like the Putt-Putt pencils) to my exam tonight because that's how confident I should be....riiiiiiigggghhhht ;)

On another note, I haven't had time to do ANYTHING Halloween! I don't even have the pieces to my costume yet, nor have I started to assemble my little Halloween goodies for my pals. Oh well, as I saw from Tanya's Carmen Miranda last year, sometimes the last-minute costumes are the best. Also, I think I've succesfully roped my friends into going to the Halloween party at the Union tonight right after my exam...that should be fun, even though every year I have a hard time accepting that Halloween isn't everyone's fave holiday, even though it should be! I really wanted to take my Shakespeare exam tomorrow in costume, but I just don't think that will pan out...studying for the exam is a little more important than making a wand with a molar on top.

Anyway, wish me luck on my exams tonight and tomorrow. The plan now is to have a quick lunch, head up to the Grad, study until my exam, take my exam, go directly to the Halloween party for an hour (hey, you gotta have priorities!), then study for Shakespeare. It should be a long night, so if you *happen* to run into me (read: come find me), bring me some chocolate...or a Diet Coke. Peace out.

Oh no! I'm a weblog slacker already! I meant to post last night, but I feel asleep reading "As You Like It"...oops!

So the bottom line is this: I'm phy-SICK of studying momentum and inertia. Frankly, I don't really care about gravity either, as long as my cookies continue to fall TOWARD me when I reach for them from the top shelf of my cupboard. I'm definitely trying to study very hard for my big exam on Thursday in physics, so my brain is kind of fried from that. Also, continuing with the general theme of this semester, I'm very far behind in two of my English classes because of my physics workload. *sigh* I would like this semester to be over soon, but then I know I'll feel sad because I'll just be a few more months closer to leaving the comfort of U of M.

In other news, I think I know what I'm going to be for Halloween...the TOOTH FAIRY! My sister gave me this idea and since it goes along with my general interest in oral care, I think it's perfect. Now, the tricky part is finding a tutu...I think I'll just run to the fabric store a pick up a yard of tulle...hooray, an excuse to be crafty!

I know I had more to say, but I just can't remember for the life of me. I have to get used to remembering things to write in my weblog. On a related note, I noticed again today how often I talk to myself...and the squirrels. I think I just get sad when it gets cold and I also miss my dog, so naturally I talk to the squirrels for comfort. It's not like I expect a conversation with them, I just talk baby talk. Okay...and on that note, I think I'll peace out; grilled "ham" and cheese sandwich and Spaghetti-O's for lunch. Later gator ;)

*So I guess this is my first official post. Hooray!*

I had a nice and relaxing weekend, which I can honestly say is rare for me. Not only did we decide to start "Friend Marathon" on Thursday night (a marathon of friendship before Carrie leaves for South Africa next semester), we also celebrated Carrie's big 21st b'day! I'm so glad that my friends are all starting to turn 21...Friday night at Charlie's made for good fun Tailgate before the game, and then an unexpected nap made for a lazy Saturday and today, it felt good to finally get some work done. Also, Wanton and I went to the U of M Musical Society's Annual Halloween concert, and it was hilaaaaarious! We both had a great time.

From the perspective of Sunday night, this week should be pretty challenging. I have physics exam #2, which a lot is riding on, as well as my Shakespeare midterm. Let's just say that I've left "Twelfth Night" until the 11th hour At least it all culminates in Halloween, the best holiday of the year! Since the "three blind mice" idea might not work now with AJ, Sheila, and myself, I have to start brainstorming now for my costume. Got any good ideas? Well, I'm going to wrap up some physics notes, do a little reading, and hit the hay. Sweet dreams!
